Mr. Whitlock, an associate with TraskBritt, received his J.D. cum laude from Duke University School of Law in Durham, North Carolina. He received the Robert Netherland Miller Scholarship for academic achievement. Mr. Whitlock was an Executive Editor for Law & Contemporary Problems, Duke Law School's oldest journal. He was an officer of the Intellectual Property and Cyberlaw Society.

Mr. Whitlock, a Registered Patent Attorney, holds B.S. and M.S. Degrees in Chemical Engineering. He has also worked in research, development, testing, and evaluation of weapons systems for the U.S. Government, primarily rocket propulsion systems.
