Elizabeth H. Schierman joins University of Idaho College of Law for Fall 2016

Elizabeth Herbst Schierman, patent attorney with the intellectual property boutique firm TraskBritt, P.C., has accepted a position at the University of Idaho College of Law to teach Introduction to Intellectual Property for the Fall 2016 semester. The course will highlight patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret law for second and third year law students at the Boise and Moscow campuses.

The University of Idaho is Ms. Schierman’s alma mater for both her undergraduate and law degrees. She earned her law degree in 2005, after graduating at the top of her chemical engineering class in 2002. She has been a member of the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering’s Advisory Board since 2008.

Ms. Schierman lives and works in Boise, Idaho, where her practice with TraskBritt, P.C. (based in Salt Lake City, Utah) focuses on domestic and foreign patent and trademark prosecution for clients that include multinational corporations as well as entrepreneurs. She will continue her practice while teaching, and she looks forward to sharing her passion and knowledge of intellectual property law with the next generation of practitioners.
