Robert P. Merrill


Robert received his J.D from Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School. During law school, he placed 6th in the US Regional Negotiation competition and was a quarter-finalist for both the Trial Ad and Moot Court competitions. He received a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering and a Master’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah.


Prior to attending law school Robert worked as a research engineer at Ceramatec where he received a Patent for design improvements to enhance performance, stability and lifetime of high temperature fuel cells.  He also worked for IM Flash as a Quality Improvement Engineer/Scrap Coordinator. Robert’s practice focuses on patent prosecution, patentability studies, Trademark, Copyrights, and litigation.
