Terry is a shareholder at TraskBritt. His practice focuses on patent prosecution, intellectual property licensing, post-grant proceedings, and intellectual property enforcement strategy. Terry previously worked as General Counsel for CAO Group, Inc., where, in addition to his responsibilities as a general legal advisor, he managed and enforced a large patent portfolio. While General Counsel at CAO, Terry oversaw numerous patent litigations and licensing negotiations, including against top ranking Fortune 500 companies, and negotiated multi-million dollar intellectual property transactions.

 

Terry received his law degree from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he was a William H. Leary Scholar, W.J. Mitchell Family Endowed Merit Fellowship recipient, CALI Award recipient, and was a Western Region Finalist in the Giles Rich IP Moot Court.

 

Prior to practicing law, Terry worked as a design engineer at Autoliv North America, where he designed, developed, and launched into product the roll-over side curtain airbag for Honda’s first truck. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah.
