Trey W. Fanning

Trey received his J.D. from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he graduated with honors and a graduate certificate in Intellectual Property. Trey also holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics (minor in mathematics).

Trey’s practice primarily centers on trademark matters, including trademark clearance searches, advising on the adoption and selection of new trademarks, filing and prosecuting applications to register trademarks, advising on the use and registration of trademarks, defending and litigating trademarks in opposition and cancelation proceedings, advising on trademark infringement matters, and assisting with enforcement of trademark rights.

Prior to attending law school, Trey worked as a clinical research coordinator and assisted in conducting clinical trials for new ophthalmic drugs, devices, and treatments.
