Marie’s practice emphasizes the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and international patent applications in a broad range of technical fields. These include lasers and optics, quantum technology, imaging, and medical diagnostics and devices. Marie also performs patentability evaluations and assists with freedom-to-operate and infringement analyses. With past experiences as an in-house intellectual property manager and patent agent, as well as R&D scientist, Marie understands the client’s perspective. Marie holds a Ph.D. in atomic, molecular, and optical physics and has conducted research in a Nobel-prize winning group.
